Dr. Alexy Aviles

 

Doctor Alexy Aviles graduated in 1995 from the University of Puerto Rico Dental School (ADA accredited). There, he also completed an intensive General Practice Residency (GPR) the following year, which helped him gain experience with a patient population that included a medically compromised patients, and special adults and children.

The experience included rotations with medical students on anesthesia, internal medicine, and emergency room. In 1996 he was admitted to complete his specialty training in periodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch-Houston. In 1999 he finished with a Masters of Science.

Dr. Aviles' commitment to periodontics is evident by the amount of hours he spends maintaining his education and keeping up with the newest techniques in the rapidly expanding periodontal field. Our office newsletter is presented to our colleagues on a quarterly basis as a token of our commitment to maintain a professional partnership between the general dentist and the periodontist.

Dr. Aviles is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.  A panel of internationally respected peers has evaluated him and awarded Diplomate Status, which is the highest recognition of achievement awarded to the specialty.  

He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, and the Greater Houston Dental Society of Periodontics
